*Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department during the election cycle.
The Election Official 1 is automatically reclassified to Election Official 2, (Pay Grade 4, annual salary $40,913.60), upon successful completion of all performance areas during the first eighteen (18) months of service.
What do we want you to bring to the table?
We are looking for someone with strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail. Must be able to run reports, work with computer programs, and work with voting equipment machines. Must have the ability to train others and manage projects. Republican party affiliation preferred.
What do you need to have?
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 - 6 months of related experience serving in an administrative support position, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
What will you be doing?
Our days vary a lot throughout the election cycle season. A typical day preparing for an election might start by checking inventory and supplies. Then continue by ordering documents and materials to assist with election preparation. Setting up for the election including ensuring accuracy of the ballot and systems along with troubleshooting errors. Checking and ensuring proper maintenance of voting equipment. Then assisting with the development and implementation of training programs. Assuring proper ballot rotation and security. Then ending the day by preparing all necessary reports.

The principal role of the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is to perform the fundamental and vital functions of administering our elections. In carrying out its mission, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections will seek to achieve the following objectives:
